EastArkNet Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 29, 2026

EastArkNet is a service provided by Evocatus Media, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the official EastArkNet mobile application and the EastArkNet services with which the app communicates.

The current EastArkNet service-wide Privacy Policy is also available at eastarknet.com/legal/privacy/. This Evocatus Media page is maintained for official EastArkNet application privacy and support purposes and is intended to remain consistent with that policy.

Our Privacy Approach

EastArkNet is designed to collect as little listener information as reasonably necessary to operate the service.

EastArkNet does not sell personal information, use personal information for targeted advertising, use advertising identifiers, engage in data brokerage, or track users across unrelated apps or websites.

EastArkNet does not create or retain a persistent individual listening history showing which calls or talkgroups a particular person, installation, device, connection, or scanner session listened to.

Information EastArkNet Handles

Connection and Operational Information

When the app communicates with EastArkNet, EastArkNet infrastructure may receive ordinary technical information such as an IP address, timestamps, requested resources or API actions, platform information, app version or build, response status, security events, rate-limit events, and technical errors.

This information is used to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain EastArkNet. IP addresses are not used to create public listener maps or individual listener profiles.

Access Codes

Ordinary public listening does not require a named account or access code. If you enter an authorized access code, EastArkNet processes it to determine which restricted talkgroups or features you may use and to help detect misuse or unauthorized guessing.

Access codes are not intended to appear in ordinary analytics, public outputs, or support material. Do not include an access code in a support request.

Optional Mobile-App Notifications

Installing the EastArkNet app does not by itself register the installation for notifications.

If you choose to enable notifications, EastArkNet may store a random installation identifier, a protected installation credential, a push-notification token, platform, app version and build, enabled status, selected notification categories, and related registration timestamps.

This information is used to authenticate the app installation, save notification preferences, and send notifications you requested. It is not based on your name, telephone number, advertising identifier, or hardware serial number.

You can disable notifications or delete the associated EastArkNet notification registration through the available app controls. Disabling notification delivery and deleting the EastArkNet notification registration are separate actions.

Website and PWA Notifications

A website or installed-web-app notification subscription is separate from an official EastArkNet mobile-app notification installation.

If website notifications are enabled, a browser may provide EastArkNet with a Web Push subscription endpoint, cryptographic subscription keys, a random subscription identifier, and selected notification topics. Removing a browser/PWA subscription does not automatically remove a mobile-app notification registration, and removing the mobile-app registration does not automatically remove a browser/PWA subscription.

Current Listener Counts and Aggregate Statistics

While the scanner is running, EastArkNet may keep short-lived session information in memory so it can calculate current listener counts and recover cleanly from brief reconnects. This temporary state expires after the scanner stops or the session becomes inactive.

EastArkNet may retain non-identifying aggregate statistics such as total or average listener counts, traffic by talkgroup or system, scanner starts and reconnects, and broad playback or delivery reliability measurements.

Persistent aggregate analytics do not contain names, installation identifiers, push tokens, device identifiers, access codes, raw IP addresses, scanner-session identifiers, connection identifiers, or a per-listener sequence of calls or talkgroups.

Aggregate analytics are not joined to notification, access-code, or support records to build individual listener profiles.

Radio Calls, Archives, and Alerts

EastArkNet records and stores radio communications that its equipment successfully receives and processes. Stored information may include audio, date and time, radio system, talkgroup, source-radio information when available, access restrictions, and technical metadata.

EastArkNet may also store alerts and related information, including alert text, status, related talkgroups, audio, and incident information.

Radio and alert content is service content, not a record of who listened to it. Keeping a radio call does not mean EastArkNet keeps a list of the people who heard that call.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app may store selected talkgroups, appearance and interface choices, access-session information, notification settings, recently played items, policy acknowledgments, and temporary playback or cache information on your device.

Local information is not automatically sent to EastArkNet simply because it is stored on your device. Some values are transmitted when needed for a requested feature such as access authorization, notification registration, scanner operation, or support.

Support and Reports

If you contact EastArkNet or Evocatus Media about EastArkNet, the information you choose to provide is received and processed. This may include your email address, message, attachments, device or app information, and diagnostic details.

Do not send passwords, access codes, installation credentials, push tokens, private keys, signed audio links, or unrelated sensitive information.

Information EastArkNet Does Not Intentionally Collect

Ordinary EastArkNet use is not intended to collect:

Radio audio available through EastArkNet is captured by EastArkNet radio equipment. The EastArkNet app does not use your device microphone to create those recordings.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to:

Information is not used for behavioral advertising, sale, data-broker activity, or unrelated profiling.

Service Providers and Disclosure

Limited information may be processed by service providers that help operate EastArkNet, such as hosting, network, security, push-notification, app-store, email, support, backup, legal, accounting, or insurance providers. They receive information only as needed for the services they provide.

Information may be preserved or disclosed when required by applicable law, valid legal process, or a binding court order, or when legally permitted and reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or threats to rights or safety.

Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale, subject to applicable law and continued privacy obligations.

Retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate and secure EastArkNet, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Because aggregate statistics do not identify an individual listener, EastArkNet generally cannot isolate or remove one person's contribution from a stored aggregate count.

Your Choices and Deletion

You may decline notification permission, change notification preferences, disable notifications, delete the official-app notification registration, remove a website notification subscription, return to public access, clear available local settings, or uninstall the app.

Deleting the official-app notification registration does not change scanner access or locally selected talkgroups. You may register for notifications again later.

You may also ask about, correct, or request deletion of information that can reasonably be associated with you or your notification installation.

For an EastArkNet privacy request, use EastArkNet Support or email support@eastarknet.com.

Do not email an installation credential or push token. Enough non-secret information may be requested to locate a support interaction or verify control of a notification installation.

Security

EastArkNet uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, protected credentials, server-side authorization, access controls, input and rate limits, diagnostic redaction, limited retention, and least-privilege operation.

No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

EastArkNet is not directed to children under 13, and Evocatus Media does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through ordinary EastArkNet use. A parent or guardian who believes such information was provided may contact EastArkNet Support.

Emergency Services and Government Affiliation

EastArkNet is an informational public-safety radio service. It is not an emergency-reporting service and is not owned, operated, sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any police, fire, emergency medical, dispatch, radio-system, or governmental agency. Do not use EastArkNet to request emergency assistance. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency number in your area.

Third-Party Services

App stores, device platforms, browsers, push-notification providers, agencies, radio-system operators, telecommunications providers, and websites linked from EastArkNet have their own privacy practices. Evocatus Media does not control those third parties.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in EastArkNet, technology, service providers, or law. The effective date at the top identifies the current published version of this page.
